Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Loreon LLC ("we," "us," or "our") about the Hermit mobile app ("Hermit" or the "App") and the hermitapp.top website.

By downloading, installing or using Hermit, or by continuing past its first screen, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Hermit.

1. Who Can Use Hermit

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Hermit. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Hermit only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

2. What Hermit Is

Hermit is a focus app for iPhone and Android. When you start a session, distracting apps wait for the time you choose, while the apps you keep available stay open. By design, there is no button inside Hermit to end a session early: starting a session is your decision to protect that time until it ends.

3. What Hermit Is Not

• Not absolute. Hermit adds friction against everyday phone use. It does not guarantee that any app will be blocked in every situation. Your phone's operating system and its controls always remain in charge.
• Not a safety or control product. Do not rely on Hermit as a security product, parental control, safety mechanism or guaranteed restriction of any kind.
• Not medical advice or treatment. Hermit is not a medical device or health service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, including ADHD or problematic phone use. Content in the App and on our website is general information, not medical or professional advice.
• No promised results. We do not promise any particular outcome, such as less screen time or better focus. Numbers based on your answers, such as estimates of time or money, are illustrations, not predictions or guarantees.

4. Your Responsibilities During a Session

• Start a session only when it is safe and appropriate for you to be without blocked apps for the full time you choose. Hermit will not end a session early.
• During a session, apps you did not keep available may be blocked. In Lockdown Mode, Do Not Disturb may also silence notifications and calls. You are responsible for anything you may need during a session, such as calls, messages, alarms, navigation, health, safety or work apps.
• Emergency calling is controlled by your phone's operating system, and we cannot guarantee how every device behaves. Do not start a session when you may need your phone urgently.
• Use Hermit only on your own device, or on another person's device with their informed consent.

5. Premium, Subscriptions and Lifetime Purchases

Some features of Hermit require Hermit Premium. Premium may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The available plans, prices, billing periods and any trial or introductory offer are shown before you buy.

• Purchases through Apple or Google. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Purchases are tied to the store account you use, and you can restore them on a compatible device with Restore Purchases.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel in your Apple or Google account settings before the renewal date, following that store's rules. Uninstalling Hermit does not cancel a subscription.
• Trials and introductory offers. If a free trial or introductory price is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the regular price unless you cancel before it ends.
• Lifetime purchases. A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks Premium for as long as we offer Hermit and its Premium features, on the store account used to buy it. "Lifetime" refers to the life of the product, not your lifetime or the life of any device, and it does not guarantee that Hermit or any feature will be available forever.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
• Price changes. We may change prices for future purchases. Price changes for existing subscriptions follow the store's rules, including any notice or consent they require.

6. License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use Hermit on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, under these Terms and the rules of the store you obtained it from.

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile Hermit, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
• bypass or interfere with Hermit's purchase verification or other technical protections;
• use automated means to access or extract data from Hermit;
• use Hermit for any unlawful purpose, or to restrict someone else's device without their informed consent.

7. Ownership and Feedback

Hermit, including its name, icon, design, artwork and software, and the content of our website belong to Loreon LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not give you any rights to them except the license above.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without any obligation to you.

8. Changes to Hermit

We may update Hermit and change, add or remove features, change which features require Premium, or suspend or discontinue Hermit, in whole or in part, at any time, to the extent permitted by law. Some updates may be required to keep using Hermit. We do not guarantee that Hermit will be compatible with every device or future operating system version, or available in every country or store.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HERMIT AND OUR WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT HERMIT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT IT WILL BLOCK ANY APP IN EVERY SITUATION OR ON EVERY DEVICE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOREON LLC AND ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OPPORTUNITIES OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO HERMIT OR THESE TERMS, WHATEVER THE LEGAL THEORY. THIS INCLUDES ANY LOSS CAUSED BY MISSED CALLS, MESSAGES, NOTIFICATIONS, ALARMS OR DEADLINES, OR BY BEING UNABLE TO USE AN APP, DURING A SESSION.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO HERMIT OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR HERMIT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR TWENTY US DOLLARS (USD 20).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your rights under mandatory consumer protection law.

11. Disputes and Governing Law

• Contact us first. Before starting any formal proceedings, you agree to email support@loreon.tech and give us 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.
• Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Loreon LLC is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
• Courts. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that country. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it.
• Individual claims. To the extent permitted by law, claims may be brought only on an individual basis, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated or representative action, and you and we waive any right to a jury trial.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Hermit or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. If a change is material, we will give additional notice where the law requires it, such as in the App. By continuing to use Hermit after the updated Terms take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using Hermit, uninstall it and cancel any subscription through your store.

13. Ending These Terms

You can stop using Hermit at any time by uninstalling it; there is no account to close. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription. We may suspend or end your license to use Hermit if you breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue Hermit. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and disputes, survive after these Terms end.

14. General

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the applicable store terms are the entire agreement between you and us about Hermit.
• Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the rest of these Terms will remain in effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them, for example as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
• Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation of them, the English version controls.
